Lavina Electric Grinders
The Lavina line of electric concrete grinding and polishing machines is highly regarded in the surface preparation industry for efficient floor grinding, coating removal, and high-gloss concrete polishing.
Electric models are often preferred for indoor job sites, because they don’t need special air ventilation, as propane grinders do. They operate more quietly and require less maintenance. Additionally, our electric machines feature reversible head rotation, which helps with some diamond tooling, such as PCDs and Scrapers.
We offer electric grinders in different voltage options, including 115V, 220V and 380/480V.
GRINDING TIPS
- Check dust skirt to make sure it is all the way down, touching the floor to reduce airborne dust. Replace skirt if worn out or damaged.
- When starting machine hold it firmly and start moving (don’t keep it in one spot while heads are spinning).
- Overlap around 25% of the machine work path between passes.
- To add more grinding pressure and grind more aggressively, put the weights down / forward.
- If you experience diamond glazing, try one or more of these: add water (mist surface), remove weights / reduce grind pressure, slow down rpms, switch to a softer bond tool.
- Always lock the weights during transportation.
- When stopping machine, keep moving until the grinding heads stop.
- To tilt the machine back for tool changes, move the weights back.
