Hybrid Tools
HYBRID TRANSITIONAL TOOLS
Hybrid tools are a transitioning step between aggressive metal-bond grinding and finer resin polishing. Metal tools typically leave a noticeable scratch pattern. Jumping directly from metal to resin tools without an intermediate step can make those scratches difficult to remove. That’s where hybrids come in.
Hybrids are engineered for scratch refinement, and they are typically made with copper or ceramic bonds, in 50, 100, and 200 grit. Superabrasive offers hybrids with both Velcro-backed attachment or QC foam rings, offering flexibility depending on machine type and operator preference. The rings should be used with Security Plates for safe operation.
